week2 assignment4 How technology is used to support ELA instruction

Miss Marconi use the software called MAXTRA in her ESL class. Students have to use language to discuss their independent reading books and recommend them to their peers and they’re also becoming increasingly familiar with technology which will help them across all content areas.
MAXTRA ia s low stake, when the kids recording their maxtra they are able to stop and rerecord if they need to make e script and go back and change things.  The teacher can make common on students works and improve students writing. Kids can make presentation independently. Students can record their voice and combine with the pictures and make research through the internet to create their own presentation.


Miss Marconi use MAXTRA app practice on students reading writing, listening and speaking.  Students can work independent or discussion with their peers. Students work independent are practice on reading and writing literacy skills of research, think logical and make argument on what their writing and thinking. Students work with group can practice on their listening and speaking skill, Miss Marconi use the technology in ESL/ELA teaching to help students better to learning and understand what they expect to learn and able to do.

1. Theories and Practices of Multimodal Education: In today’s teaching in the classroom, teacher needs to use multimodal ways to inform students about learning theories and practice. The multimodal theories include Picture books, interaction with peers, gesture, drama, drawing, and ways of incorporating, integrating and extending linguistic signs. The digital media also can be a way to help students in literacy learning. Students can decode and comprehend alphabetic print in conjunction with other socially and culturally shaped forms of representation.
