In nowadays “literacy educators have a responsibility to effectively integrate these new technologies into the curriculum, preparing students for the literacy future they deserve.” --New Literacies and 21 Century Technologies. As a literacy educator, the teachers have the responsibility to integrate technology with traditional literacy learning. The new literacy is also being considered as a set of skills of the global literacy. The teaching tool ITC can make literacy curriculum more effectively. The ITC make students easier to collaborate read, share, and create content with peers. A new literacy integrates digital and media on student learning. Students use the laptop in the classroom, making research, taking note on their laptop. Students learn the literacy by application, software, and web support, it helps students study process more efficient.

Miss Marconi use the software called MAXTRA in her ESL class. Students have to use language to discuss their independent reading books and recommend them to their peers and they’re also becoming increasingly familiar with technology which will help them across all content areas. MAXTRA ia s low stake, when the kids recording their maxtra they are able to stop and rerecord if they need to make e script and go back and change things.   The teacher can make common on students works and improve students writing. Kids can make presentation independently. Students can record their voice and combine with the pictures and make research through the internet to create their own presentation. Reading: The goal of reading is comprehension and the text complexity apply to reading comprehension. The students need to develop their ability to read from easy to complex. The students need to making an increasing number of connections among the idea and text. The standard expects students to have the ability to find evidence from the text and more sensitive to inconsistencies, ambiguities and poor reasoning in texts. Writing: Reading and writing are relative. The students expect to have ability of planning, revise, edit and publish. The writing standard cultivates students' ability to write properly in argument, informative/ explanatory text and narratives.
